They have such a loud "hum"! When a rufous arrives at my feeder, all of us in the house stop what we're doing and rush to see the feeder. We can hear the bird's wingbeats it over the tv or radio.

They've been pretty surface active, too. Tail slaps, spy hops, and semi-breaching. Heading NW at 13:18pm.
