Wow. That's shit.

Plus, while I enjoy the hell out of Lacerda's designs, a few of them feel similar enough that I can play them a bit interchangeably. Not that my exp. is encyclopedic, but I haven't found that parallel for EP - when I want to play Escape Plan, I have to play Escape Plan.

..which takes me back to theme. Heist isn't high on my list of themes. But the way the city expands over 3 days as options/exits contract really feels like you're a crook who is running out of space. So the theme and gameplay really, i think, interweave in a compelling way

It doesn't overstay its welcome. Players can fall behind in a Lacerda game and then just hang around for a long time. But with only 9-12 actions in a game, EP really moves.
The game length also builds delicious tension. There's SO much that's possible, but then you're running out of space and time..

This is so gross

The only theme i was really into was On Mars. But i enjoy the designs of Escape Plan and Kanban EV so much that I got into the themes by playing the games.

I haven't gotten to Inventions yet (hence my choosing not to back Speakeasy). But i really enjoy the Gallerist! I need to revisit Weather Machine, but honestly just kind of thought it was fine. Not bad, but didn't blow me away. Favorites are easily Escape Plan and especially Kanban EV.

Aww, man... you're making me regret not backing this one after backing the last several!

There's already a Chinese version of them! But they're in English. And name a lot of Americans. They're also already called the Epstein files, if i remember correctly...

Yeah, it took me forever to try, but Wells honestly had me laughing out loud, and it wasn't the macho action robot I assumed it was from the title

Feel better soon!

The Murderbot Diaries are a lot of fun, but my favorite book from this past year was Katabasis, by R.F. Kuang

GIVE THIS MAN A NOBEL IN LITERATURE

I mean, that feels unfair. After all, ICE supporters today have access to WAY more context, evidence, history, and reasons not to be supporters today than they did back in 1933...

Astonishing how much more work most of us will do to convince ourselves that "there's just no way to know for sure" than we're willing to do to believe it's possible, even for a moment, that she didn't "do something to deserve it"

Thank you for the far more accurate reframe. No better way to articulate that
