I’d recommend everyone regardless of medical risk bring a mask on your airplane journey, a disinfectant wipe to clean the seat you’re in and hand sanitizer.

It’s going to be on you alone to protect your health.

Warning signs are everywhere.

The taxi will be driven by a quirky old man who lost his wife several years ago at Christmas.

It's a service all the airlines use for taxi bookings during seasonal delays.
If he also doubles as the taxi that comes to transport me to the picturesque village

They'll likely try and make you accept a flight for the 24th. Don't fall for this. It will create conflict and end the blossoming relationship you have with the widowed lumberjack, who may lose his newly-restored love of Christmas.

When you get to the airport, make them change it to the 27th.

A reminder to anyone trapped in an airport due to weather conditions right now:

You have a right to stay in a nearby picturesque village while the airline sorts out a rebooked flight for the 27th. They also have to provide a widowed lumberjack for you to fall in love with.

Know your rights.
