Ice bucket is finished, photographed, and submitted! My main image is the piece by itself, but I enjoyed doing a little product photo shoot to give a sense of scale and purpose. (Also an excuse to buy hopefully-delicious cava!) 🥂

Tomorrow I'll put this ice bucket into the fires of my first glaze firing. 😱 Crossing fingers I don't mess up the program and somehow ruin it! If all goes well it will be submitted to Last Call X 🍸

A porcelain low-relief carved ice bucket sits upside down on a piece of foam, waiting for glazing. It has many small penguins and a skeptical looking fur seal. It's mostly just the white of the porcelain, with slate blue underglaze accents, most notably on the penguins. The same low-relief porcelain ice bucket has now been painted with glaze (not yet fired), so it is all off-white. Two fur seals are visible, and a cluster of penguins (though the unfired glaze makes all the details much less distinct). The vessel sits on shelving marked with blue tape.

Another bisque relief piece, mostly posting as an excuse to tag #pottersofbluesky and #ceramicart !
Bisque ceramic vase carved with low-relief landscape/critters: a fur seal on the left, and two penguins in the center. The relief wraps around the piece. It is not yet glazed or otherwise colored, so the whole piece is a light beige. You can see a glimpse of ceramic studio shelving in the background.

Dipping a toe in these waters. I'm probably more interested in a more image-forward product like Flashes, but we'll see!

Among many projects underway, I'm back to underglazing my pentaptych. I have some test tiles waiting to be fired to (hopefully!) help me make further color decisions... 👀
