Why senior developers never write "clever" code.

Clever code is hard to read.

Hard to debug.

Impossible to maintain.

Your goal isn't to look smart. It's to write simple, boring code that just works.

Brilliant thread
Sorry, but while I believe it is spread in good faith, I think this is a good time to call out this common mistruth in the Irish ecological community.

Indulge me for a minute, I just finished 5 years in Europe working with wolves, lynx, and deer.

"Lack of wolves" is not the problem. Short🧵
Deer population 'out of control' due to lack of wolves.

There are no ifs or buts, if we want to restore Ireland’s decimated ecosystems, we must reintroduce apex predators.

@guinnessworldrecords.com I found the record for cheapest pint of Guinness in Dublin Monday - Wednesday between 1 and 4... Not sure if that's an existing record yet or not....

To all the #Guinness drinkers. What's the normal etiquette for cans at home. Do you need to wash and dry between each can or does laziness always win out?

Interesting looking talk from #DubJug on Nov 26th. Can Apache Causeway provide the full batteries included framework experience so often promised?
