One of my larger finds. In a dumphole along with other artifacts, found near a german ww2 garrison: a messkit

The wierd part are the hinges, I’ve never seen that kind before, but the model is definitly a german one. The pan/lid is sadly missing.

Metal-detecting reveals a german ww2 gasmask filter. When the germans left, many stopped by here, a german airfield was close by and a railroad ran through the area. Anything not needed for the trip home to a destroyed germany was dumped.
