Still excited about Paralives, DDV and Sonic. But the stress of making content in a timely way, releases clashing all the time. Beyond the possibility of me stopping doing Sims content, all this may be my ultimate wake up call to not be consumed so much by my online self. I'm a person not a machine.

Ugh.
Filmed a tour of Gibbi Point. It doesn't feel the same recording Sims content anymore. Yeah, the EA buyout isn't *completely* done yet. But even before the news I was already wondering do I shift to Paralives? Combined with where I'm at IRL, there's been lots to think about as is.

To anyone wondering if NPCs can die at custom venues...yes they can. Carmen died at the fitness retreat from overexertion. Grim being his silly self casually hangs out for a while after. Not a bad view out that window! #EAPartner

Not impossible in my mind, even though my headcanon is that "SimEarth" looks quite similar to ours. Maxis probably wants to leave it open to interpretation. We have at least a couple of world maps I think, but IIRC they're inconsistent and could be different sims having differing interpretations

Are the premade custom venues in Gibbi Point supposed to have blank schedules by default? I thought the whole point of them was to have something already set up so you have examples to work with. But even on a new save with mods disabled, still blank schedules. Huh.

Protip: Having trouble taking cute family kayaking pics? @twistedmexi.bsky.social TOOL mod is very helpful! Shift+click on the kayak and make it the active object. Thankfully you can move the kayak around without ejecting the sim! Even while they’re fishing! Here's a before and after. #EAPartner 😆

Before: one kayak is clipping through another. Not desirable!

After: used TOOL mod to move one of the kayaks off to the right so that it’s still close to, but not colliding with the other kayak.

I think it’s because the feature was added so late into the game that we’re already very used to not having it. I keep forgetting ceiling paint exists too

It’s really easy for me to forget I can assign if my sim’s sinks are a kitchen sink or bathroom sink. So then my sims don’t wash their dishes in the bathroom 😌
