Oh well, more cooperative anyway.

To be honest, the term "white genocide" lends itself to be understood like there's a genocide against white people. One would even say, perhaps, intentionally.

The current political mess is a struggle between people who can imagine things being bad and people who can't, and I'm dying in that hill.

Probably literally.

In fact a good part of how Silicon Valley operates is very much the ultimate outcome of hippies who never grew out of the 60s.

So you're telling me a social scientist doesn't understand that material conditions have an effect on aesthetic preferences?

Good research, bullshit conclusion: this is very much NIMBYism.

(Fun fact: there's a whole dependency chain from legacy code in Windows that exists almost exclusively because no one alive understands anymore how MS Word does line breaking.)

No, because how good their product is has become independent from their revenue.

Or, hear me out, we can make it socially acceptable to wear pajamas and comfy clothes.

Are you stupid?
November 23, 2025 at 1:53 PM
This is as stupid as saying that Austria was ruled by the Spanish king at some point. No, some parts of the Holy Roman Empire had the same king at some points as Castille, Navarre and Aragon.

Get your history straight.
November 23, 2025 at 8:42 AM
... what are you even talking about?

Portugal was *always* ruled by the Portuguese king. It just so happened the Portuguese king and the *Castillian* king (bc Spain was not yet a thing) were the same person for a few years due to coincidence on royal lines.

(Also re soccer: Spain vs Portugal is not a big thing. Now Spain vs France? That's war.)
November 23, 2025 at 8:36 AM
Not really... Spanish and Portuguese are remarkably incompatible languages. Portuguese speakers can generally *understand* Spanish, but not speak it. Spanish speakers can generally do neither in European Portuguese (but they can understand Brazilian Portuguese much better).

This is a proxy war in the same sense Puerto Rico is a colony: only if you're stretching definitions to fit your narrative.
