Circularity isn’t just about tech, but rethinking how people, policies, and businesses interact.

We explore how societal and governmental systems support (or block) industrial transformation.

Our hubs bring together engineers, researchers, social scientists, urban planners, and local stakeholders.

Because IS often operates within industrial clusters, isolated from the broader society. It optimises the inside, but doesn’t always consider the outside.
IS2H4C takes industrial collaboration to the next level by including energy networks, local communities, governance, infrastructure, and nature.

Aren’t Industrial Symbiosis and Hubs for Circularity the same thing? Not quite!

IS focuses on cooperation between industries to reduce waste and share resources.

H4C expands this concept to include local governments, citizens, and communities, transforming entire regions into circular ecosystems.

That’s the core idea behind Industrial Symbiosis (IS) - a strategy where companies collaborate to use each other’s by-products, waste heat, water, or infrastructure.

IS2H4C is developing a digital collaboration platform that empowers industrial zones with decision-making tools for sustainable planning.

So a factory can know where to send its excess heat, how to reuse another’s waste, or when to switch to renewables.
