Hi everyone! I'm very excited to be in Banff 🏔️ for a CIFAR event where I will be helping lead a discussion on AI in cultural and creative industries, centered around indigenous peoples. There will be many great discussions at the event about how to shape a positive future of AI (and robotics 😃)

If the Senate's budget is enacted, millions will lose health insurance, millions will fall into poverty, and the national debt will increase by $3.3T.
All of this to provide a major tax cut mainly to the rich and big corporations.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

Unlawful and unjust detainment occured last night near Tufts University. The student's visa was reportedly terminated as well.

Lately I found it helpful to think in terms of "happy problems" and "sad problems" Sad problems u can still do something about but just suck(breaking a leg or the dismantling of the administrative state in favor of corporate rule) Happy problems are like "I have to stay up late to work on my thesis"
