The problem is almost all of the people listed have a starting point of “America bad, Always!” And that just isn’t a winning formula unless you’re a terminally online lefty. They functionally can’t bring more people in because a most people do not have that world view. And never will.

Until someone left of center does something similar in an entertainment format that isn’t purely political we can’t really compete.

The mistake nearly everyone here is making is they are listing shows that are purely political. Not everyone is a political junky. Usually people want to be entertained. Which Rogan does. He has non political guests and the and then slips in Ben Shapiro or a RW grifter.

But all of these show are just political. And that is the problem. Rogan works because he has far more non political guests on, and then slips in the right wing stuff. We do not have any shows (that I can think of) that is left of center that does something similar.

And Whilst I don’t always agree with them, the Pod save guys especially pod save the world are decent shows. Offline is probably the closest we have to a Rogan like show.

Most of the rest are controversial like contrapoints and Vaush or care more about purity testing than being pragmatic which normies find off putting. Also the online left hates liberals more than fascists it seems.

The Majority report has fallen off hard. It has become almost unwatchable when Sam is off. It’s the lefts version of audience capture. Most of it is just Emma and Matt “dunking” on RE idiots. Which isn’t a recipe to grow an audience.

The Bulwark are centrist never trumpers. David Pakman is not loved by the left. In fact the majority report subreddit calls him a grifter because he thinks Israel should exist. Though he is probably the most normie friendly

The issue is most of these people have a ceiling. The reality is whilst Midas touch is an exception, the rest don’t have the reach.
