There have been a few good wind events of late that's for sure, but hard to say at this point if it's a trend or just a weird year.

It's climatologically the 3rd or 6th windiest city in the world. It's always been windy. Although there was a fairly long period somewhat recently where the max winds were struggling to get above 100 km\h as frequently

Seems more like baseball might be broken if the Dodgers are the only ones landing big names.

They might have a hill to stand on if Christmas was anything close to being about the Religious bit for most folks :P

If there's a war on Christmas, nobody told the radio... or the W network...

truth be told, I haven't taken my snow shoes out in a very long time... which is annoying after I spent money buying a new binding during the pandemic year. If I get out skiing more than once this year, it will beat last year.

There's a wee thaw coming up mid to late next week, after that it still looks like a wintery pattern. Time will tell, though it just takes 1 stagnant pattern flip and it'll all be melted away. Seems like we can at least enjoy the first part of winter properly.

It would be ironic if they came up with a bunch of resolutions but none of them stick...

and most importantly for you... gives you the lead in the snowfall contest!

On a similar note, that might also means parts of the south coast could see the lower end or less snow than expected. Will be interesting to see.

as long as we beat last year's 17...

hehe, it's always grey and soggy around here, but in our case it's been good since the water table was dangerously low and now we're back up to near Max (at least on the surface...). I wouldn't mind a bit of snow so I can take the dog for night walks :)
