I wanted to point out though that I really did enjoy it though! As a game, it was fun and made me want to sit down and play every day. I’ll stop rambling but I just realized how negative the previous ones sounded and wanted to clarify 😅

It felt like closure, in a sort of bleh way. Theories were explicitly debunked or confirmed. The ‘deep lore’ laid bare. I always loved the mystery/theorizing re: DA lore but now my questions have been answered and I don’t have much to wonder about. It’s nice to know, but also kind of unsatisfying.

I often feel some shame when telling people I love the DA games (people tend to be ok with Origins).
I enjoyed DATV quite a bit. I have some significant complaints but got many hours of pure enjoyment out of it so I am satisfied. It felt like an end, though

Yessss, Emmrich and Taash were so good together! They had one lighthouse cutscene that made me laugh so hard my husband came in to check on me.

My first Rook was a mage but I struggled to go anywhere without Emmrich. I *loved* the Taash/Emmrich conversations but ran Davrin/Emmrich a lot because we just wrecked stuff together. For less difficult content I took Bellara because she is my darling sweetheart bestest girl and I love her.

I’m so glad you are enjoying it!! It got me through an awful bout of Covid and gave me something to look forward to even when I could barely move.
