Beautiful Scissortail Flycatcher on a chain link fence that surrounds a baseball field. The ground is dry and the grass is brown but there is green that shows through.

A Mallard and her duckling having a #serene moment. They had no concern with me, the other people walking by or that Coppers Hawk watching them from the tree. The Hawk took flight, it was locked in, and moving fast. I thought i don't want to see this happen, I don't want to capture that, I don't want to witness death today. The Hawk aborted its mission, as if it received a radio transmission. It flew to a low branch and then to a higher one, where it perched with it's jaw dropped. It seemed confused and in disbelief of what just happened. The Mallards were unbothered by the whole ordeal, there was fear, no rush, just a calm departure.
