Retired, Australian, large family all grown up. Slightly left of centre whilst young, now conservative. Can see some good things in Trump's anti-woke decisions but incensed how he is treating Ukraine & rest of world, and is so egotistical.
Thanks TA. Is the Greenland "deal" like an Embassy land agreement ? Eg in Australia, each foreign embassy in our capital Canberra has a 99 year lease from our federal govt. The land is controlled by the respective embassy, technically an Oz citizen needs the foreign ambassador's permission to enter.

To get closer to God and my family, and to persuade God to do more to help Ukraine defeat Russia and bring all Russians to their knees.

But hey, the sun keeps shining & we thrashed the Poms in cricket, the game they taught us. "She'll be right mate".

Australia is a fool's paradise, the great mass of ppl were foolish enough to elect a fool as leader, at least in part because our conservative opposition is leaderless & in total disarray, with any sensible leadership contenders on the sidelines. A country gets the government it deserves they say.

items like petrol & medicines. Oh no says Albo, we have significant reserves - in USA! China is quietly buying us up, when they’re ready they can just blockade our supply lines for a few weeks, Trump will do nothing, then suddenly we all have to learn Mandarin (v difficult language).
January 21, 2026 at 9:30 PM
Carney is great, more than a match for Trump. Aus dopey leader Albanese wouldn't even know what Carney was talking about, let alone do anything about it. Albo is sickeningly sycophant towards Trump, we've paid #$US 1 billion to rebuild US shipyards, not our boats. And 3 weeks reserves of critical

Exactly why Hungary, Slovakia & USA can't be members. I have zero confidence that the existing NATO can restructure itself.
January 16, 2026 at 8:13 AM
Trump’s threats towards Greenland spell the death of NATO. The Coalition of the Willing needs to decide NOW what to do if Trump attacks Greenland. Imho, they won't be able to agree on doing anything, so they need to act now to set up a new NATO, my Australia is too dependent on US to be invited.

Except that Ukraine seems powerless to stop Russian ballistic missiles striking residential & energy facilities, leaving Ukrainians without power & heating in -20 conditions, Russia is obviously trying to sap the will of Ukrainian people. Ukraine must address this b4 it does sap the people's will.

Don't forget the kill switch in US weapons
January 13, 2026 at 10:02 PM
Far from making USA great, Trump is tearing it apart. DOGE was a disaster, idiotic, led by idiot Musk, ICE is Trump's Gestapo, murderers have immunity (JD), multiple MAGA Telegram channels gleefully reporting on wealth transfer to them, Nesara Gesara, QFS, Trump crypto, dodgy "cures" medicines etc.

In war, you can't allow your enemy to control territory inside your country. Make Kaliningrad part of Lithuania, expel all Russians unless they can prove allegiance to Lithuania (slow, tedious job). Russia is now weak, a strong Europe can defeat them, bring about their conversion (BVM Fatima, 1917)
January 12, 2026 at 9:50 PM
Europe needs to fully back Ukraine, as in war. NATO is hamstrung by those unwilling to fight, like Hungary, Slovakia, US, Spain etc. Easier to set up new body than expel these. Name not important but strong leader is, like Kallas. Take back Kaliningrad, close Russian embassies (spy agencies).
January 12, 2026 at 9:24 PM
Take all the best European parts of NATO, add in Ukraine, you have the best army in Europe if not the world. Do it now, don't dither. Need to call Trump's bluff on Greenland. Germany say they want to lead though they don't have nukes. What a delicious irony, Europe supporting Germany against Russia!
January 12, 2026 at 1:17 PM
Use most of the NATO rules, procedures etc excl US involvement. Encourage the good NATO staff to jump ship, xfer their entitlements. Leave NATO with skeleton staff running a skeleton do nothing organisation.
January 12, 2026 at 10:14 AM
No
January 12, 2026 at 10:10 AM
Germany, France, UK should withdraw from NATO & set up a new European Defence Agency (whatever its called) along with the Coalition of the Willing incl Ukraine, xfer all their NATO expenditure, don't invite US, Hungary, Slovakia, Belgium & all other hand wringers. SACEUR from France / UK, due nukes.

Likely to be a poorly defended country. Greenland ? Then Mexico ? A few African countries with mineral wealth but not much else ?
January 5, 2026 at 12:01 PM
I also largely agree with your assessment. However I'm troubled by the potential of Russia reaching Zaporizhia, as some scribes claim their path to that city is largely undefended. Do you have any Intel on that ?
January 5, 2026 at 11:55 AM
And Trump, who quite ridiculously is hankering for a Nobel Peace Prize, has just started a war against Venezuala! Nominations close end January, great timing Donald.
January 3, 2026 at 11:34 AM
Of course Russia is the world master at propaganda, they'll continue their lies until they drop. And Trump will believe them. And sadly European leaders will continue to dither & ring their hands & let fringe countries like Hungary & Slovakia slow things down, even Meloni in Italy seems ambivalent
December 30, 2025 at 10:26 PM
We can't write off Russia or Putin yet. Russians have an incredible ability to absorb self inflicted pain, they have for years. Russians interviewed in the street still support Putin. Russia will drag it out as long as they can, hoping to break Ukraine's will, which still seems strong, despite 47.
December 30, 2025 at 10:21 PM
But Putin has undone all of Zelensky's good works by claiming Ukraine has struck his residence, and telling Trump. Of course Trump believed Putin's lies. So we're back to Trump supporting Russia again, no Tomahawks for Ukraine.
December 29, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Don't get too excited about the Dems fully supporting Ukraine. They didn't do it under Clinton, Obama & Biden, why would they change ? Especially if they employ another "Security Advisor" who's scared of their own shadow, like Jake Sullivan.
December 19, 2025 at 9:07 AM
Early in the war, Zelensky said "The war begins & ends in Crimea". Profoundly true. Yet Trump et al & msm have all ignored that. But when Ukraine retakes Crimea, they'll all take notice. TA, clearly you can't disclose any Ukrainian plans for Crimea cos they may help Russia, so we wait patiently.
