That is respectful. I feel that way when I put something down. I used to make myself read what I started, I don’t anymore. Millions of books, so moving on!

No clue. The weird thing is farming in winter moves from central coast to Yuma/Imperial Valley. Tariffs help.

Um, Judges Order are binding. What does she not understand?
I mean, she may not be capable of complex thought.

Oof. We have historically high unemployment and under-employement right now. In California we have a staggering 5.5% (Bureau of Labor Statistics), but the hardest hit is the farm areas, Imperial Valley being the worst: californiatoday.com/unemployment...

What about the vibe farmers? They have needs too.

Once at the Pebble Beach car show, they had a line of 40 gull-wing Mercedes with the doors open. If we had phones back then, I'd have a photo. You'll have to trust my memory – this was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. My dream car at the time was a late 1960s VW Karmann Ghia convertible.

My grandparents were considered brown people when they arrived from Piedmont, IT at the turn of the 20th C. Thankfully, when they arrived in Los Angeles, California, they were adopted by Mexican Americans because they had church in common. They loved this country deeply and were staunch Democrats.

How's the birdie doing?

In Frankfurt's philosophical analysis, "On Bullshit," he suggests that "bullshit need not be false, it differs from lies in its misrepresentational intent. The bullshitter may not deceive us, or even intend to do so....What he does necessarily attempt to deceive us about is his enterprise."

I think this is the bullshit people who think they're brilliant say. Many of his promises are empty.

I only bought a quarter of a turkey and it was $17. That seems expensive. I rarely buy meat, mostly humanitarian and environmental reasons. My mom wanted turkey and she's 84. Honestly, if I'm going to pay a lot of money for something, it's going to be fancy cheese.

Hahaha! This is perfect. I can't imagine. My brother and I stopped speaking with our cousins in Orange County because they are Trump supporters. Our grandparent were immigrants. They are farmers and ladscapers. Makes zero sense to be racist.

Thanks you, Dr. Pashwan. I'm surprised Albertsons and Mass General Brigham employees aren't unionized. Tempus Unlimited may be trying to skirt the rules about income for folks collecting SSDI. Still. Those rules should be changed.
Uber and Door Dash are the usual suspects. They need new laws.
California Gives Uber, Lyft Drivers Collective Bargaining Rights | KQED
Critics say the law signed Friday by Gov. Gavin Newsom doesn’t do enough to help level the power imbalance between tech giants and drivers.

But can we talk about 1000 year old eggs? How does that work?

I got paywalled, but am curious about the offenders... usually it's Walmart, McDonald's, Amazon warehouses... anything new culprits?

I think the 45-47 is the range of Trump's IQ – on a good day.

I haven't supported a war since 1966, so yeah... this ain't it either.

I support Amazon workers. I haven't used that service since 2016 because of their horrifying labor practices.

Cooking is such a scam. You can spend hours, deciding on a menu, going shopping, prepping, cooking, and cleaning up. Then you eat for 10 minutes. I gave that up when I turned 50. Toast, salads, or ready-made meals since then.

I think we should buy as little as possible, only what's needed to put the pressure on faster. The whole economy breaks sooner. It will suck, but it's the only power we have.

Plus, save your money for the meltdown.
