I am the QB for the KC Chefs. I am not quite what I used to be. This hot streak will end and the Chefs would do well to find my replacement. All things must pass.
The Chevy Chase documentary on CNN-it was really good!

So good that they should just stop reporting the news, which they are increasingly bad at. Maybe they could just do a doc on Jake Tapper or that ridiculous guy Dave Jennings! Make the doc director the new head of CNN!

@chiefs.bsky.social I still think Patrick is losing it. He's on the downhill part of his career. Slower. Not processing things the way he did. Kind of sad to see. Father Time is undefeated though.

TV analyst John Kasich searches for middle ground. "[Just] ask to see the President." That's funny.

Here's what I want to know: where it all went off the moral track for some of these Trumpers, like Pam Bondi. An ugly person who kneels in fealty to Der Fuhrer. But she must have been a good person at some point.

I'm thinking it was right before Regina George made her a member of The Plastics...

@paulickreport.bsky.social So, is Finger Lakes part of the no- CAWs 2MTP for win betting...or is it not? I ask because of the dramatic odds drop for the eventual race 5 winner, Linda Dixon's Isle Storm.

Is Nicolle Wallace ripping Lindsey Halligan on the sly? First she cannot come up with her name...then she fumbles the name a few times! Nicely played, Nicolle!

📣 This study in Argentinian healthcare workers showed an 80% reduction in Covid infections using an iota-carrageenan nasal spray 4 times a day. Nasal sprays may be a useful tool in the armoury to prevent Covid, and therefore #LongCovid.

OK, so what about this IOTA-CARRAGEENAN spray?

I've read a few studies that suggest good things, in terms of prevention, but no large-sample RCT as yet...and I don't think RFK, Jr is going to be funding anything but astrology studies!

Daniel DeSimone, MD of Mayo says in May of 2024...

"Claims that ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine can treat COVID-19 are false. These medicines are still useful for treating other illness. But only medicines approved or authorized by the FDA to treat COVID are useful for that illness."

COVID-19 treatments? FDA says, as of 11/19/2024:

Outside the hospital, the FDA has approved oral Paxlovid for some adults. For some adults & kids - hospitalized & not, the FDA has approved IV remdesivir. For certain hospitalized adults, baricitinib & tocilizumab. Talk w your doc!

No to ivermectin.

Ivermectin, anyone?

Cochrane says...

"We found no evidence to support the use of ivermectin for treating COVID-19 or preventing SARS-CoV-2 infection. The evidence base improved slightly in this update, but is still limited."
December 1, 2024 at 8:17 PM
The notion of dissemination is tough, given how politically sensitive COVID is (which is nuts, BTW).

That said, the folks at the Cochrane Reviews are generally good arbiters of the research. That whole mask mandate thing was fumbled egregiously, but they addressed their error.
