Ya know, that's a good question. I _think_ firearms were considered piercing, though I may be wrong. It's been a minute since I cracked open a 2e book. If that is true however then shouldn't a sling bullet also be considered piercing rather than bludgeoning?

It wasn't optimal, that's for sure. So much better when I eventually got a decent PC of my own with a soundcard. Basically the first sign of someone shooting at you was when you noticed your shields were starting to take damage.😆

Excellent review! I'm a bit older than you, so my introduction to X-Wing was in the computer lab in college. Some of us had aquired copies of... uhm... not quite legal status of that, Civilization and some other games. The PCs there were good enough to play them, although with no sound. Loved it!

It cannot be withdrawn. As the Nobel Committee has stated in their recent public statement it can't be revoked, shared or transferred. Once it is awarded to someone it belongs to that someone for all time, end of story.

Absolutely. If you are in a position of power and wealth you _need_ to be held to a higher standard than those without either, because the damage you can cause is so much greater. And _anyone_ taking a bribe or other form of payment from lobbyists should be banned from any public office for life.

Once this is over there needs to be some changes to the US system. Trump has at the very least proven that it is not robust enough to withstand the damage an absolutely evil president with no morals or loyalty to anything or anyone other than himself can do.

I'm not so sure even a court order would stop them. Nor an election or anything like that. I wouldn't be surprised if this regime tries to keep their power no matter what until someone physically drags them all kicking and screaming to the nearest prison cell.

Once these shitstains are out of power _EVERY_ single asshole connected to ICE needs to be investigated, arrested if warranted and charged for everything they did. _EVERYONE_ from the top of the political foodchain and all the way down to the lowest-ranking masked thug.

With 3025 tech you're at the most basic tech level, so you don't have to worry about much equipment with special/situational rules. Easier to get comfortable with the base gameplay that way. And then you can add the advanced goodies when you feel ready. 😁

Use light 3025 era mechs for your first few games to get used to the rules. They have more movement and less armor, so you'll get more used to the movement rules rather than turtling down. Fewer weapons to keep track of and the lack of tons and tons of armor means games usually don't drag on much.
