The crazy thing is, when I think about doing something 'out of character' I realise it's probably the most unfiltered, true, and 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳 version of me that could ever exist

Not something you are

Identities are not fixed
Your past is not your future

Things get to be different now

Nice coping mechanism you've got there
Built up over years of people-pleasing, over-giving & keeping everyone else happy
Be a shame if something was to... happen to it

Not everything kind of protection has your best interests at heart
Sometimes it's a racket

Whatever is currently playing on your mind
Allow yourself to let it go for the evening

The questions will still be there tomorrow, during 'office hours'

It can wait until then

#Pluribus is an excellent TV show about a woman who has to hold down her rage because the world has told her that it hurts others

Also, some people are complaining that the female lead should be 'more likeable'

So, ya know, a documentary

Frankenstein is eyegasmically beautiful.

I loved studying this book at university so I was intrigued to see how it would be done. Of course it takes a few liberties with the text, but it's certainly much closer than Karloff type adaptations.

Sometimes we press pause - not because we choose to stop, but because we’re forced to

This week’s Substack is a reflection on wintering: those involuntary pauses that ask us to slow down, listen, & tend to our roots

If you’ve been feeling the pull to rest, restore & re-evaluate, this one's for you
There are gaps in the mesh of the everyday world...
When life forces us to stop, perhaps it's an invitation to grow roots
