the guy on the phone says to me that it’s “ridiculous” that i would ask for my spouse and i have to do it as a “grown up” i kept asserting i could not and needed help and they hung up on me :)
then i called back and the next person had no issue accomadating.

I think a lot of that comes from AAVE. That doesn't mean it’s stupidity, it means it stems from a marginalized community.

the less people who engage with them, the less likely they are to have an audience to spread misinformation or stage service dog handlers negatively.

if someone in the community gives me “off vibes”- for example i have removed myself as mutuals with several in the service dog community bc of behavior i was witnessing.

what really blows my mind is the amount of “fake spotters” or people who wish to dismiss disability online that only use information gathered on hate websites.
like those aren’t end all sources of information.
