Seems like adding Framber would move them to 1st in the AL

Maybe someone like Torkelson, Vientos, or Brent Rooker ends up being both good and available by trade...but definitely not a given that there will be any available RHH who you can pencil in for even a 120+ wRC+ between now and the start of 2028.

Looking at upcoming free-agent markets makes me feel pretty good about Pete. The best RHH next winter are probably Seiya Suzuki, Arozerena, Laureano, Ward, and (a very old) George Springer. The year after that it's Yandy Diaz, William Contreras, Isaac Paredes, Jeremy Peña, O'Neill and Joe Adell.

I hate this trade, but looking at RH outfielders…it’s possible that Ward really was the BPA (esp. if you think Bader is going to get a multi year deal). So he makes sense as a target if for whatever reason Elias was absolutely set on getting a platoon bat…I just can’t get over it being 1 for 1.

right, I'm sitting here thinking 'yeah, I guess I would settle for Joe Musgrove if we can't land Logan Gilbert,' when our actual 2027 rotation is going to be like...Grayson Rodriguez, Cade Povich, Brandon Young, Patrick Sandoval, and Dane Dunning.

I assume they won't compete for Skubal, but Woodruff for 2 years and then signing Gilbert (ha/ sigh), or Pablo López/ Musgrove after '26 could be a better plan than hoping Framber is still a 1 or a 2 in 2028

Leo Gomez probably played too regular in 1992, but otherwise is a pretty close approximation of Urias.

Jim Dwyer played at a 2.5 fWAR pace for 6+ years without ever getting 300 PAs. Do Roenicke and Lowenstein count, or were they too popular? Lowenstein worth about 2.7 fWAR p/600 PAs over parts of 7 years, Roenicke averaged just under 4 wins p/600 PAs--neither ever had 400 at bats.

At least where i live they don’t start formally teaching reading until kindergarten. So 5-6 years old.

I try now and the only responses I get are from my high school French teacher and a guy I went to college with who told me big pharma doesn't want us to know that you can cure cancer by cutting out seed oils.
