If Disney doesn’t pick up the Muppets Show I think I’ll lose it. That was genuinely really good and Sabrina Carpenter is like the perfect muppets guest.

"But it was pitched as a sequel that added more customization to heroes within a standalone PvE mode that would have a shared multiplayer environment with the original game, except then they shut down the original game, went F2P, ditched the PvE mode, and added an extra player per game..."

Nope, that was awful
I have a feeling that Return to Silent Hill will be substantially worse since it’s trying to 1:1 adapt an 8 hour game into a sub 2 hour movie but maybe I’ll be corrected.

@marinahascoffee.bsky.social and I made a #ResidentEvil concept album. We wanted to pull back the curtain and talk about the behind-the-scenes and show some early drafts, (including my awkward a cappella singing) 👀

Jeffery Epstein being the catalyst for the 4Chan Right Wing epidemic we’ve been dealing with for the last like 12 years sure is something to behold. I can’t wait for all of the “anti-woke” guys to self reflect and reevaluate their morals and ideals amirite!

I finally watched the 2006 Silent Hill movie and I have some thoughts I’ll save for later but I’ll say it’s probably the best that game movies have gotten but even then, it’s still bad. But at least it visually looks great, even if the rest of the movie isn’t good.

I’m not picky, all they have to do is make the launcher better. I don’t need more integration, I don’t need a smartphone app, I just want it to work and to work consistently. As it stands, everything is still slow and laggy even after all these years.

“Let People Enjoy Things,” like “Let People Hate Things,” is a nothing phrase—an abdication of saying anything substantive, dressed up as generosity. Its real function is to discourage any kind of thinking.

Critics shouldn't worry about crowd management.

criticism does not have to be constructive, sorry
disagree.

The critic’s job is not to help the work improve. It's not product feedback! It’s an art and interpretive labor.

Requiring criticism to be “constructive” imposes a goal of optimization onto a practice that is fundamentally interpretive. You just need to produce meaning through reading

There’s this old guy at work who asked me if I was excited for Code Vein 2 and I was surprised. I didn’t even know they were making another one until I checked steam that night.

For those of us perpetually online because of our jobs, it's easy to forget that there are millions of gamers just like my boyfriend, who saw the Fable gameplay preview, got excited at the reminder of how much you can shape the series' world, and immediately re-downloaded Fable II.

Probably the biggest problem with being a game critic is you never hear what other people think of you

Highguard is two things. One, a game that is a fun twist on 3v3. Two, a game that I simply can't care about because I'm tired of multiplayer games. Should two effect how I perceive the game more than one? I don't know and frankly I'm more interested in that bad looking Silent Hill movie.

Watching Fellowship of the Ring in theatres was great and I’m quite fond of Big Peter Jackson. I’m not sure I ever noticed him in the home versions. Maybe it’s because I’ve never seen the extended cuts.

Ubisoft continues to be the company that is the most incapable publisher on the market. I’ve heard about more canceled games than released ones at this point. Constant layoffs because Assassin’s Creed 24 (the same as the last one) wasn’t good enough (you won’t let them innovate).
