Having one of those days where my ambition wildly outruns my mental capacity: I somehow lost ground on the Whispering Whiskers Shawlette (www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...), I can't even break even.
So, it's time for a break. I'll get there, it just might not be today. And I'll learn a lot as I do.
Whispering Whiskers One Skein Shawlette pattern by Michelle Miller
The Whispering Whiskers Shawlette One Skein Shawl features individual paw prints knit into the main body of the shawl and is knit with Baah Yarn’s La Jolla sock. The shawlette only uses 304 yards of s...

Update on purling vs knitting the garter edges:
Purling the edges seems to have given me a few extra centimeters in width at the bottom. And it's been pretty fun! (I learned how to Norwegian Purl for this!)
This is unblocked, of course. We'll have to wait and see how that goes.

Debating frogging my gothic lace cowl, again.
I'm four pattern repeats in, so I won't be losing that much.

I'm actually pretty happy with it?

But I just learned how to get a more elastic garter stitch edge, and I am tempted to try purling that. 🧶

Blocked, and the ends woven in!
I can see imperfections, and room for improvement, but I learned a lot, and I am happy with the results. I would wear this out of the house. 🧶

Yarn chicken, continued! 🧶
Binding off.
I already miss knitting this cowl. It was both incredibly boring, and perfectly relaxing, depending on the day.

I might start another one. Maybe a short one? Or, another long one.

Accidentally playing low stakes yarn chicken:
I have five or six rows of ribbing left on the Oats Cowl. 🧶
I am knitting my way through the remainder of the yarn ball from the barley hat, and I think I will be slightly short.

It's fine though, I have more yarn!

Novavax news: A Sanofi rep said at ACIP this morning that it has begun shipping, and a Sanofi spokesman confirms that to me. This is in line with the company's statement last week that it would begin shipping this week.

My dog has this small (for him) fuzzy black mat that I taught him to settle on. We call it his Settle Mat.

I recently gave it a brushing to remove the dog hair, because it was more gray than black, and put it on the floor because we were doing nose work.

He's been napping on it ever since.

Finished knitting my first hat! 🧶

I learned a lot, and it was fun :-)

It's Barley Worsted in Berroco Vintage, in Aurora. With a touch of dog hair.

I made meatloaf, and used up most of my daily energy budget. In about 30 minutes of being upright.

I knew this would happen, and did it anyway. It's a trade-off. I freeze most of it, and microwave it as I need food, so my meals for the rest of the week are much lower effort.

I have been freezing cooked quinoa in a silicone butter stick mold, and I would recommend this, if it's within the energy budget.

For me, it's just the right amount to add to the other bits of things I try to keep in the freezer, to turn it into a reasonable meal.

I am trying out a new freezing strategy for my food: I have this silicone butter stick tray, and I filled it with cooked quinoa.

So far, it seems to be helpful.

Given my current issues, it seems to be just the right amount to add to my other frozen bits and pieces, to create a coherent meal.

My arms and elbows don't hurt at this very moment, so my impulsive brain is saying quick! Let's finish the hat before anyone notices! (Anyone: my elbows and arms)

I am not going to do that.

I will be sensible and reasonable and take at least one more rest day. Then, I will restart the exercises.

These stretches and exercises seem to be helping me, who keeps getting injured from knitting 🧶.
Some of these were already known to me and in the daily rotation, but this adds a few, and gives good descriptions and gifs to illustrate.

I think I had my first (remembered) dreams involving compression gear last night.
My various diagnoses usually infiltrate my dreams eventually, I am not sure what the criteria are for them to get through to that level though.
Might just be because I have been thinking about clothes a lot recently.

I really enjoy these blondies, but I can't get a consistent result. Sometimes they are gooey, sometimes fudgey, and sometimes cakey. I don't mind the variety, I just wish I knew what was causing it. So that I can do it on purpose.

Another five weeks, and the recurring calendar reminder to give the dog his heartworm/flea/tick prevention has once again been the only reason that I remembered to do so on schedule.

ADHD is buckets of fun, but google calendar helps.
