My absolutely-necessary-nighttime-fan started beeping and shutting itself off and on. As I felt a good night’s rest slipping away, I realized my cat Dammit Stevie was tap dancing on the fan remote. She wasn’t even sorry. Rude.

So the grandson, 6, was doing some fun math games on his school Chromebook. Asked me for help on which pictured shape was a hexagon. I got it wrong—BECAUSE I WAS TOO FAR AWAY AND DIDN’T SEE IT CLEARLY—and now my high school and college degrees have been revoked. I swear I know what a hexagon is!
