I agree that MAGA is the actual problem, but Dems caving in to MAGA on consequential votes is very disillusioning.

Some states already paid out SNAP benefits before the deal. If Dems waited even a day, they'd have heard the appeals court rule that SNAP must be paid out. Today the Trump admin has appealed to the SC once again to freeze full SNAP payments. Seems like Dems made things worse for an empty promise.

The CR only funds govt through Jan 2026. Healthcare subsidies end Dec 31, 2025. Millions won't be able to afford health care after that. That's the GOP plan. Dems functionally ended the ACA even before Republicans repealed it. It's understandable that people feel betrayed by their own party.

Senators in blue states could resign, and their governors can appoint someone else perhaps more effective in their place. Can't really do that with red state governors.

Schumer, Durbin, Cortez Masto, and Rosen all had Reid's support as leader, whip, and senators, respectively. I can't decide if they are collectively a disgrace to Reid's memory or if maybe Reid was just so wrong about them.
