There’s so much more I could say here. But I’ll end with this. If you truly care about animals, and not just what they can do for you, or how they make you feel, educate yourself. They have souls and unique needs the same way we do. They shouldn’t simply survive, they should thrive.

I’ve tried to take him on walks. The owner’s response to me asking if he has a leash to go on a walk was “You don’t have to, I don’t really do that.” This breaks my heart. Even stepping outside to walk a block from the house had this small horse of a dog cowering, tail between his legs in fear.

Their backyard when i got there was littered with an almost carpet of dog crap, so not only unsanitary but no space to run around or explore. This is all completely normal to them. But what i learned from a simple google search…that big Australian Cattle Herder is not getting what he needs.

Depressed or controllingly aggressive. He is confined to a small living room and a crate (his safe place) where he is surrounded by three smaller but also very controlling and selfish dogs, one a senior who is blind and deaf, and barks at him for no reason for hours at a time.
