In a world where science is increasingly relevant, I attempt to put important science into non-scientist words so it reaches more people. All the nuance may not be captured every time but I do my best. (Corrections/clarifications welcome!)
This study proves the model they made on the computer *works*- they used an egg cause it's easy to test their model in real life! But this computer model could predict more things - anything that needs layered and cured, like resin-based items. This model may be extremely useful in manufacturing!

I don't know how to respect any research that uses AI like this. If you don't think it's important enough to put effort into writing/presenting it, why should anyone find it important enough to be read? It immediately downgrades my respect and trust in the researcher.

Hi @richardmitchell210.bsky.social, I'd like to try to summarize your paper but I think I'm not grasping part of it and don't want to get it wrong. If you know how to start a DM (I am new and am figuring this out 😅) I'd love to chat!

Thank you for the shout-out! I'm just getting started but it's been really fun seeing the papers and research. The science here is both humbling and uplifting: so many people doing cool stuff! There's a lot of good news in science, too, which is great when the rest of the time-line is a mess 😅
