I said from when they dropped her character bio she would end up being one of my problematic faves. Her whole "with patience and persistence, I'll win them over and things will work out. They always do," was both delulu and kinda sus. She plays naive a little TOO well

Every political system is only as good as the people in it. Laws have never enforced themselves, people do. You can't put a bunch of anti-democratic and anti-gov people into the system and then act like it will just protect itself & function. Too many in the U.S. take that for granted.

I think we need greater diversity of voices in the urbanism space and need to be talking about places other than NY, SF, LA, and other urbanist darlings that are also facing the same housing shortages, mobility issues, and inequality but with way less amplified discourse.
