Totally, I get that. I think AI is super powerful for editing, and can help solve some big world problems.

I don't think it will "kill" any media. But it is definitely important to consider how it's used and represented.

My big issue is presenting AI photos as if they were taken physically.

I understand, my problem is less with ME seeing it, and more a larger issue with how AI is represented online.

It seems you post a good amount of this stuff, so it felt like an apt conversation to have.

I mean... As far as AI goes I think it's pretty well done.

I care less about the image itself and more about transparency and representation of AI.

Having it in the #Photography area implies it was... Taken as a photo, rather than generated.

I appreciate it, but I don't think anyone is pissed.

AI is new and we're all still trying to figure out the social norms around it.

For me, presenting an AI image AS IF it could be a photograph is misleading.

But to OPs credit, if you read the post, it's easy to figure out it's AI.

Like, I get it's a photo, but it doesn't use any of the aspects of photography to create and feels kinda icky.
