Its even worse than that - its a take over of the federal government *by an Apartheid-era South African Oligarch*.

Disrespecting them isn't about their feelings - its about preventing the spread of their diseased thought process to those who aren't yet infected by it.

If there is open and active disrespect of their ideology, it disrupts their ability to recruit and strengthens resistance against them.

Because "we" > "me".

It could also possibly be some sort of either echo chamber or community bias within the X network. I suspect that for a lot of longtime users, Bluesky may be seen as "The Twitter we have at home" (missing the major structural differences) whereas the more generic term has less negative perception.
