@nittanyknits.bsky.social Was the stitch we learned at Penn Lite last year just tent stitch? I forgot how to do it and was looking it up and tent stitch isn’t crossed, but what I have is crossed. I never finished my practice piece and want to pick it up, but I can’t remember the steps!

There are three Thanksgiving movies I watch every year. We both like Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, and watch it together, but the other two are my own private little rituals. (Honorable mention to Knives Out which isn’t a Thanksgiving movie but somehow totally is.) Are there any you watch?

Do you use the focus modes on your phone? If so, how do you find them most useful? I’m considering them as a way to enforce the divide between work and home and to reduce the noise of *gestures at world on fire* at times, but haven’t really used them yet.

Mm. Cranberry sauce. It’s also stupid easy. Add cranberries, sugar, orange zest to a stand mixer. Turn in mixer and walk away for an hour. Turn off mixer. Done.

Ah, that moment when you go to block your knitting and the only way to make it match dimensions would be to cut it. I don’t know what I did. I gauge swatched and sized down my needles. The length was all knit to inches, not rows. But the closest I can get it is 5” longer than expected. 🤨

Hats off to anyone who makes their Christmas presents. I have been working on one baby gift for 2 months and I’m still not sure I’ll be done in time. It’s not even that complicated!
