i've seen exactly one marvel movie from start to finish and that's it

i've never been into superheroes so when the avengers came out i kept saying to myself "i'll watch it later" but then they kept making more and more movies until i decided that keeping up with all of them wasn't worth it

Nier went blind in one eye! While the light was inside him, that eye actively glowed and his vision was completely washed out, as if constantly staring directly into a bright light. He took to wearing an eyepatch to mitigate it + attempt to hide it from his friends (although that didn’t last long)

and since KH is a franchise that, again, runs almost entirely on liminal/dream/fairytale logic, this leads to a lot of criticism that seems to not get that

coming back to this and i think a part of the problem comes from the idea that when world building in fiction, you NEED to not only have crazy deep detailed explanations on how everything works but also that having any minor plot hole means the work in question is automatically bad

fairytale and dream-like the games could get while mostly fine with how cryptic the games could get regarding the world/lore and how they didn't spell everything out for you vs now where all anyone talks about is how bizarre the franchise's entire concept is
