I write code and read books. And lots of other stuff but I can't possibly list it all 🙃
I'm still catching my breath from that Terminator bit 🤣

I've been using protonmail for years now and have no complaints. In fact I much prefer the layout to Gmail which I still need to use for work.
Only downside is that contacts don't sync to my android contacts but that hasn't been such a big issue either

Yes! Been using them for a while, makes it sooo much easier to build components that you can just plop anywhere and they'll look right

I have that same bed, I just control it through Home Assistant now. I ain't paying for their AI subscription when just keeping it at a fixed temperature seems to do the trick.
But they also lock simple scheduling behind a subscription now, that's what the Home Assistant integration takes care of now

I'll be sure to check it out!

I have a BSc in computer science, so I guess it's very loosely related.
Mostly useful as a solid basis and when you need Math for something.

I scored 12/28 on jsdate.wtf and all I got was this lousy text to share on social media.

I'll be honest tho, lots of lucky guesses/pattern matching. Only until the pattern breaks ofc
new Date("wtf")
How well do you know JavaScript's Date class?

"I'm sharing all my tricks in this one" would be better as "Hier zeige ich zeige dir alle meine Tricks"

This just popped up on my timeline, but have you considered calling it Shaunday?
But whatever you call it, sounds great, I should steal the idea 😄

And another one: break down what you're really doing into basic terms. Often technical terms make things sound more complicated than they actually are.
Example: an Auth guard is really just an if statement.

That some duplication isn't nearly as bad as we've all been taught as juniors and consequently only create an abstraction once it becomes painful not to.
Until then, keep it simple and copy stuff.

Oh, talk to your Neighbours. I have downstairs neighbours who've had me over for dinner multiple times.
And just be a nice person to be around, makes it more likely that people will invite you to stuff 😁

I go to a dev Meetup, weekly dance class and meet friends who also wfh for lunch sometimes.
Meet new friends outside of where you met them so they stick if that thing ends
And you can just say hi to other people that you see regularly and maybe you'll make a friend. Like baristas, hairdressers etc
