Although I'm still sitting on the tarmac at my port of origin so let me not test my luck today

Typing from a plane this very moment, can confirm awfulness, even with me being one of the lucky ones (to even make it on a plane today)

You will never know how many times your life was saved because someone did their job.

Public service is a noble thing that isn't just police and fire and soldiers.

You're alive because of a meat inspector, a drug reviewer, and all the administrators that make the work possible.

GS met the Portuguese Italian stallion, reconnected with friends, made new friends, spectated the marathon, and I still have another week here. I fucking love this city

Race day is his day. I am there for him, I know the work he puts in for months on end, and it's finally his day, his victory lap, and yet he manages to find ways to make me feel loved and appreciated while doing the most badass thing ever

My point though is GS will stop every single time when he finds me along the course. When he ran the Nashville marathon @bitchbi45.bsky.social and I managed to catch him on the course at no less than 4 different points and he found me every time and stopped to give me a kiss every time??

Watching videos on people supporting their loved ones and noticed that not every runner will stop to acknowledge their people. They might wave or blow a kiss but some don't stop because continuing to run is more important (AND THATS FINE ITS THEIR RACE)
