I think we're on, like, year ten of acting like the year we've had have been uniquely terrible, I think it's just about time to admit that things are just going down the toilet in general. It's not a bad year as much as it's a bad century.

I can now tell you, from personal experience, of how disorientiing it is to read "hallucinated" generative AI produced slop that is plausible enough but is also fake.

I had been running Brave browser for a while (due to its speed, stability, and blocking options), but the upgrade to 1.83 made the browser completely unusable. Tabs kept changing without input, maps and pages kept scrolling without input, text could not be selected, etc.
