I’ve begun work on my new book project, now called “History from Below: The Making of a Radical Tradition.” Here is the preliminary working bookshelf on my desk. Notice how beaten up are my copies of the books by E.P. Thompson and Christopher Hill.

Friday afternoon spin is ‘Super Session’ by Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper, and Stephen Stills (1968)

Stills is amazing, but this record is all about Mike Bloomfield who is a monster on Side 1. Just put on track 1 “Albert’s Shuffle” and let the music do the talking.

Already getting constant feedback from parents at my public school asking for tech free classrooms.

I teach 6th grade and literally bought a box a black pens and the students hand wrote reflection essays of famous paintings last week. Novelty at this point, but the kids LOVED it
Mark this post: We will see anti-tech charter and private schools emerge soon. Parents don't like what they see happening to their kids.
