Back in July we went to Michigan for a different wedding, and our travel was also pretty bad. At least this time we were traveling to the same place after and were together through the shenanigans. However, the next person who invites us to a destination wedding we are probably saying no, lol.

But for the most part we sat or laid around in the airport for 7 hours, slowly being driven mad by the constant smooth jazz interrupted only by the occasional announcement about not leaving your baggage unattended.

We landed back in Atlanta at 1 in the morning, and they re-scheduled our flight to ECP for 8 am. We couldn't really afford to get a hotel so we tried our best (and failed) to sleep in the Atlanta airport. We each got maybe 20 minutes or so in the form of a few catnaps.

At the time my Great Grandmother was still alive, and then my Mother asks her about cutting off the ends of the ham it was because her oven was too small to fit the full ham...

So she asks my Grandmother, whose answer was that she cut the ends off the ham because her mother always did growing up.

In my family we always had both turkey and ham at Christmas, and when my parents first got married my Mom noticed my Dad would cut the ends off the ham before cooking it. She found this curious.
