area or is it just a case of continuing to yell into the void of social media in the hope that higher ups eventually notice and do something? And if those in charge do make changes, what do you think needs to be done? ie. technology, review systems, greater decision transparency etc.

A broad question not limited to Arsenal but it seems the officiating question comes up season after season. It’s all very well having fans and journalists demanding that standards improve but they never seem to. What, if anything, can we as the little people do to bring about change in this

How much do you think Renee’s hand was forced by player (un)availability and how much was it a tactic to play them both to exploit Leicester’s defensive weaknesses?

Interested in your thoughts on Stina & Russo starting together. It didn’t work at all vs United and I wept a little when I saw the starting lineup today but the more long balls that found Stina, the more it felt like the right choice to play them both.

Thoughts on the timing of the international break in relation to Arsenal’s form? Result against Benfica obvs pending but is the break welcome to allow the squad a bit of a reset or would it be better to have more games now to grind our way out of the rut before everyone disperses for 2 weeks?

On a lighter and more positive note, I thought Reid was yet again one of the only bright sparks in Saturday’s performance and dealt well with Villa’s counterattacking threats. Is it too soon to start the Katie Reid for Ballon D’Or 2026 campaign? 😉

I don’t see a talent gap between the two squads so why can’t we do the same? Is it inexperience/naivety from Renee, player mentality or something else? Interested to hear your thoughts!

I agree with your assessment on last week’s pod that the Utd draw won’t be title defining but it feels like this one could be. When Chelsea play like this, they always seem to be able to grind out an ugly and often undeserved 1-0 win eg. their recent results vs Villa and Leicester.

There’s a lot to say about the football, but Renee has a huge decision to make in Lisbon - does she stick with the trusty club trackie or suit up for the big day? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it but on the other hand a special final feels like a time for her to dress up for the occasion. Thoughts?

[2/2] the increased likelihood that the game could go to ET/pens, should we be concerned that we might once again set up for “the long game” instead of a riskier more direct approach that’s probably needed to get back an early goal or two, leaving it too late to make the comeback?

[1/2] The only games I’ve had concern about under Renee were the 2 cup exits where it seemed the personnel/tactics were more conservative maybe with a bit of fear that the game could go on beyond 90 mins. Given that for Arsenal to win they have to do it from 2 goals down and…

Big flashbacks to Eideball in the first half (back passes, weak shots at the keeper, lack of creativity around the box) and at 2-0 or 3-1 down it’s a game that would’ve been a loss a year ago so what was the difference today? Subs, Renee’s tactics, squad belief and current form, or something else?
