Could have started with the slayer crashed into the ground without memories because the tether broke, people screaming as you see a village get torn apart by the demon horde, the bishop's ship exploding in the sky. But nope it's time to watch a movie

It's straight up phenomenal. I like a lot of games more than doom 2016 but no introduction has been better than the one in that game.
