Let’s roll this back. Stop it! The Tigers aren’t cheap! Let me explain arb to a person that knows it! You’re being unfair. Person: yes it was a low ball offer and the Tigers could’ve broke with precedent and didn’t based on league pressure and sticking to precedent. I’m glad Skubal broke it.

It can be based on free market value, especially in Skubal’s case based on the clause you mentioned earlier. Thanks once again for repeating yourself in explaining precedent and arbitration.

I’m actually pretty keen on what the Tigers did. They stuck to what the league and other owners wanted them to do. They didn’t argue or made a fuss. They didn’t make it personal. They were willing to accept the outcome and even slapped 38 mill on another pitcher on top of that before they knew.

Ah. I get it. You’re a stooge. Historical precedent set 10 years ago. Truly fair and appropriate to file below that. I believe that Skubal and Boras wanted to break your “fair and appropriate” system more for labor rights and setting a new precedent because it wasn’t fair and appropriate.

It was said on a couple podcasts. It’s really annoying. I am really happy that is over and Skubs got what he deserves. That’s another thing. Everything was amicable and it sounds like the league more or less put pressure on the Tigers to file so low.

I get it. It’s hard to look at anything American right now and think there is a positive. I just believe that my neighbors and the people around me are good people and I don’t want to denigrate them as Americans because they’ve been through so much to be Americans.
