as a society we ignored covid and disabled people. disabled people are always treated like other in capitalism and are the first to be, for a lack of better word, killed.

people want to move on and continue things as normal while dying. that is why we/america/the west is in the position we are in now. not bc people voted this way or blah blah.

instead people refused to get the covid vaccine and created a rise in antivaxxers AND THATS JUST ONE EXAMPLE. but covid plays such a big role in how we are function as a society yet it being ignored and will continued to be ignored while it kills and disables people.

if we were truly in a progressive time and society we would’ve garnered free healthcare, clean air, wear masks, and found new methods to fight and prevent the spread of covid and other airborne diseases.

for example, like yes in 2020 people were protesting against police brutality but rather than defunding the police the government DOUBLE its funding for police.
