@reiver A lot of it has been focusing on the kinds of things standards org do — chartering working groups producing reports, getting consensus on prioritization for standards work going forward etc. But there are also community updates and things like that.

@reiver You might recall @andypiper and I tried to do a monthly fediverse developer meetup for a while, and whilewe did, but couldn’t sustain it. Would be great to revive something like it!
Any time compatible with my time zone would be fine.

The canceling of ICEBlock is more evidence, were any needed, that the Web is the platform of the future, the only platform without a controlling vendor. Anything controversial should be available through a pure browser interface.

@[email protected] @[email protected] For me, the biggest questions still remains: what is the business model that justifies the money already invested in Bsky and the future, larger amounts of money that still need to be invested to get to break-even and beyond, at a multiple that makes the VCs at least somewhat happy. Before that is clear, a patent pledge is very welcome and needed, but far from sufficient as otherwise the future simply is not in their hands.
