Took some hot Prime 4 takes that are actually worth talking about, and added my own notes to them.
It's a pretty long read, and there's no spoilers

We've been at this point for awhile, but I do find it genuinely funny that we've reached the point where people are so brainedwormed that they're just making up dialogue that's not even in Prime 4

I have no fucking idea what is happening anymore. Did everyone just get dumber in the past 2 days or what the hell is happening? I'm not even a Prime fanboy, and the level of dishonesty coming from almost every dissenting opinion on the game is fucking insane to behold.

Jon, I think you're a nice guy, but you're making a point with this that makes you sound dumb. I can only hope you mean it in jest, but considering the general discourse surrounding Prime 4 I'll just say it.

Metroid since it's inception has always ALWAYS been 'what if Zelda but it Mario?'

Recent events have me feeling incensed enough to make this:

Mackenzie hate is so unbelivably forced. I'm so sick of people falling for it who should know better. Grifters aren't even the ones peddling this shit anymore, it's actual personalities who're being ultra performative themselves and being just as cringe as anything Mackenzie could possibly say

3 minutes in and that Skill Up Prime 4 review is already being so hilariously dishonest: "Unlocking double jump might've been cool in older games, but modern metroidvania take those powerups and makes them more than just keys"
*shows Silksong gameplay where one of the late upgrades is a double jump*

Mouse controls for Prime 4 so far are the absolute best control implementation out of any of the ones the Prime games have had ever.
I was worried they weren't gonna keep the locking controls, but they did. You do have to crank the mouse sensitivity a lot, cuz it's really low on startup.

Completely objectively correct Metroid tier list in time for Prime 4, and if you disagree then I will scream and cry and piss

There's just way too many times in the latter half where colossi feel like nuisances rather than grand challenges. This culminates with Argus who I would go so far to say is straight up a bad part of the game that I dread doing every single time I replay it.
Still, there aren't many games like SotC
104. Shadow of the Colossus (replay)

Loaded up for a quick playthrough. It's a game I was truly enamored with when I was a kid and I still view it pretty highly, but my enjoyment of it as a game has definitely weaned over the years.
As a game and for the vibes, I think I like ICO more now.

The Rabbids as an IP is one I mostly harbor ill will towards because the sequels were so shit. It is a franchise that has like 4 games you can consider okay-good. I'm a very big defender of Rabbids Go Home tho. That game is just absolute chaos in the best way possible.
103. Rayman Raving Rabbids (6/10)

I do have a soft spot for this game due to growing up with it. It was the first Wii game I owned. Switches between sensory overload and monotonous. Rail shooting segments are pretty fun. The most I get out of this game is the really cool Rayman 4 assets

I would be angrier at this, if I could even pretend to give a shit about Sega preserving this franchise.
Yakuza 0 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam will be delisted on December 8. Yakuza 0 Director's Cut launches the same day for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC: www.rpgsite.net/news/19028-y...

This is your public service announcement to not fall for the "Kirby Air Ride looks like a kart racer" propaganda.
Air Ride has more in common with Sega arcade racers (moreso than Sonic Crossworlds funny enough) than it has anything to do with Mario Kart. It's an action racing game.

My finest gameplay moment in City Trials so far is seeing two guys fighting over who gets Hydra and stealing from both just before the game ended.
There is no more euphoric feeling I've had playing a game this year than this.

If this seems like really high praise, it's because Sakurai is one of my favorite game designers of all time, and he still hasn't lost his touch. He has in fact only gotten better with time.
101. Kirby Air Riders (10/10)

Outside of City Trial being the best multiplayer experience ever. The added single player mode as well as the racing modes make this the most tightly packed and COMPLETE Sakurai project since Kid Icarus Uprising. One of the most heartfelt of his projects too
