When my mom and dad started dating, one time they ended up at the Barn during a blizzard & sat in a booth near the window where a dude across the street was being given THE BUSINESS by his date, walloping him with her purse, yelling at him, the whole nine yards. Dad noted, "Huh, that's my brother."

Bad guy just delivered the line “If you betray our trust, we’ll pull your veins out” and that sounds pretty dire.

One thing I particularly like about the Vaesen TTRPG is the idea that your group "rediscovers" aspects of their headquarters as they improve it during play. It helps give narrative context to the idea that someone else had the place first and as you explore it, you find useful facilities.

“You will be haunted,” resumed the Ghost, “by Three Spirits.” Scrooge's countenance fell almost as low as the Ghost's had done.

Winter horror recommendation: The White Reindeer (1952). An early influence on folk horror, in which a Sami woman seeks a romantic charm, but her innate magical nature makes something more sinister happen. Evocative, moody practical special effects, especially using contrast, light and shadow.

Absolutely awful. Who is this for. Who sees this and thinks, “Ah, I believe this and will purchase the thing/ service it advertises”
