Exactly! That’s what I find so absurd about this. You can have one person decide it all or have a negotiation between Congress and the President that would require hundreds of Representatives and Senators to be in agreement to overcome the President’s objection. Which is how it has been for ages.

Not to mention the president’s veto power. Apparently Congress might suddenly become incredibly active and the president would take it all without vetoing anything? Such a strange line of logic from today’s arguments.

If anything, I need a good book about it. Everything I’ve read about it just raises more questions for me. Questions like: Why? Huh? And who thought that was a good idea?
