I’m going off on a guess here but I think it’s because reading is more demanding of the audience compared to art?
Artwork you can give almost immediate feedback on what was created.
Writing needs a moderate amount of time to be able to read from beginning to end to give cohesive feedback.

How long could these be open for?

Any time I pick up a game it’s “so why aren’t I drawing right now”. For me I cope by thinking whether I’m doing it for the enjoyment/study or if I’m forcing myself to put pen on canvas for the sake of it.

I’m guessing it would be the ‘reading comprehension’ equivalent except for design. Seeing any bipedal dragon design they automatically think WoF dragon without any critical thought.
