Love this band - and this album and its follow-up. I saw them a bunch of times. Always great. I remember one particular time in Bristol, 98 or 99. Muse were their support band.

You know I get why people like this, but I could never get into it. All the elements are there - great cast, good story, fx, weird as fuck. But no. And I know people love the ending, but Christ, it’s bleak.

I always think this album shouldn’t work, but somehow, it really, really does. Cheers for the reminder. I’ll give it a spin today.

Haha. Yeah. Same deal for me. Hard life being well hung with decent hygiene standards.

Yeah, I’ve only rewatched it once, but it’s such a carefully considered movie. Also, under 90 mins - happy days!

So good! Lovecraft via Clive Barker but super tense and weird. Think I’ll rewatch it myself soon.

Yep. ‘Yoghurt’ is a classic of the ‘melt’ variety. ‘Crumpet’ I’ve heard, too, but never ‘lukewarm crumpet’ - in a non-culinary sense, at least. I’ll try to use it today. Although I’m in America right now, so it might not have the intended effect.

I’m sure there’s still a voice there and I’m sure she’ll love it.

35 years - that’s huge. Sorry it’s so tough right now. Glad you’ve still got a bit of a smile, even if it’s hard.

Gotta love the music business. You get plied with all manner of free things, and getting wasted is glorified, and then you are expected to have restraint, like you can turn it on or off. Hope you’re doing good now.

Haha! Good for you. Wonderful. Did it get printed?
My guy came up to me after the show and he was almost crying. He said, ‘You don’t really think that do you?’ And I was like, ‘Well, yeah.’
Silver lining in the cloud of the streaming era is that reliance on assholes like that is far less now.
