Apparently he or his people claimed he was on the winning Belgian team at the 1979 European Karate Championships. Belgium didn't medal at all.

I believe he would have been Van Varenburg. They include a link on the wiki to an article where they say it was an undercard bout, it wasn't for a title and his opponent was real tough.

Van Damme's wiki claims he won the PKA Middleweight Championship. Learned that only Bill "Superfoot" Wallace and Jean-Yves Thériault have had that honor.

Fightpass still has a couple of Rambaa's SHOOTO fights. I didn't watch a whole lot of either when they were active. Then again finding DEEP or SHOOTO events back in the day was a lot harder.

Commentary booth trying say that Somdet would love to throw a knee while Gomez is grounded. No, sir. The man fought in SHOOTO. I honestly doubt Somdet has fought under an MMA ruleset where knees to grounded opponents were legal.

I'm not sure who is in the booth along with TJ, but I just laughed when they said that Herb knew better about shots to the back of the head. We had a whole ass argument between Herb and Big John about what constitutes a blow to the back of the head. No one actually knows the rules in MMA.
