Finally made it to Mount Assiniboine, the Matterhorn of the Rockies! At over 3,600 m, its sharp peak is one of the most iconic sights in the Rockies. I’ve admired it for years from Sunshine Village, but seeing it up close was something else. Even with a 40 km hike and a heavy pack, it was worth it!

Ksi Lisims LNG secures approvals from B.C. & Ottawa with conditions. At ~1.6 Bcf/d, it, along with other projects, helps to elevate Canada as a major LNG exporter—boosting sovereignty, trade, gas prices & the economy. FID still ahead, but this marks a pivotal milestone!

As summer winds down, I’m reflecting the beautiful places I have visited. A summer highlight: visiting Skoki Lodge—near-luxury backcountry lodge with no running water or electricity, operating the same way for nearly a century. My first summer visit, and well worth the trip!

After years of trying — and failing — to get there, I finally made it to Lake O’Hara in Yoho National Park. This true gem of the Canadian Rockies was worth every bit of the wait. Now I understand why Group of Seven artist J.E.H. MacDonald fell in love with it over a century ago.
