how higher education as a system of symbolic capital and elite reproduction works: it's not about what you learn, but about what people think your degree means. maybe that's why QS as a ranking brand is so 'successful', especially in East Asia.

To be honest the UK’s unis also hire staff with limited capacity to understand English even if they are Britons/native speakers. Those cases are pretty normal if you are struggling with CR/ethics feedback where my content already exists in the first paragraphs, but they claim it needs to be created!
